Most
of my time is still spent getting my daughter Lindsey ready for her journey
after high school. Two more years to go!!
My oldest, Nicolas will enter his second year at Iowa State in
mechanical engineering. I did get to see him set a school record in the triple
jump his senior year at Flower Mound HS of 44'8". When we dropped him off
at Birch Hall for freshman week I heard the Beatles playing just a few doors
down. Thirty nine years earlier in Beck Hall my freshman at Central Wash. I
heard the Beatles playing just a few doors down.
The
big question is now that when I decide to pull the plug on this working stuff -
where do I want to settle in. The summers here in Texas are just brutally
"HOT", but not a lot of snow to shovel. I could be a
"snowbird" and travel from TX & WA for the seasons. I know that
some of you already have made that choice. I would like to have those retirement
$$$ go a long way. I know that I will have a lot more time for fishing. In
Parts Operations/Distribution there is no such thing as an eight hour day; it's
until the job is complete. Eight hours is for your vacation time sheet that goes
to payroll.
I
still manage to run 2-3 miles a day. Why? Because I still can. I have to keep
an eye out for that "Texas Sidewalk Monster" he's tripped me twice
the past three years. Minor bruises, but the recovery time is a lot longer now.
The concrete is a lot harder the more years you pile on. This is my stress relief.

Vicky is enjoying life. I’m always a vital part of my family’s life. I’m working with the Suquamish Tribe. I am the Director of Child Protective Services. I have been involved in this line of work for twenty-five years in some capacity. I love children, care about families, and put a lot of myself into this effort. I resided in Port Orchard. My husband, Cory, and I have four grandchildren. I have five children two are deceased; they’re in Heaven! I’m from a large family. I’m in the country and we have six horses, three dogs, and three cats. Many kids are always at the house, all my son’s friends call me mom. I feed many, counsel many and mentor many. I enjoy antiques. I’m a Traditional Native Cedar Weaver. I have Things I’ve woven in the Suquamish Museum displayed for the Grand opening. I made Cedar gifts for Washington States Supreme Court Justices and presented them with the gifts at an honoring the Suquamish Tribe held at Kiana Lodge, and ate lunch with them and talked about Indian Child Welfare. I’m involved in many Supportive hours of volunteer work with the Suquamish Tribe.

I am currently working at Fred Meyer Port Orchard as the Wine Steward for twelve years now. I have been working in the grocery business for thirty-nine years! I have been married for thirty-three years and my husband Mike is still a Hairdresser owning Indigo Hair Salon in Chico WA. I have one son who is 27 and is employed with Art Anderson in Bremerton doing marine design. My store is currently under a remodel now and they are expanding the wine and beer department and giving me a wine tasting station. I was the one at Fred Meyer to go through the pilot program with the state, allowing wine tasting in thirty grocery stores. My vacations have included Florida, Mexico and wine country in Washington and Spain.

Nothing much has changed. I've lived in the same house in Gig
Harbor for 26 years, and have been married to the same woman, Kate Cunningham,
for 30 years. Son Brady is 19. He moved out this year and lives in apartments
across town. I have worked at the Kitsap Sun for 30 years. Now I’m the
military/transportation reporter. Parents and four siblings are all still alive
and most live in the area. That’s about
it. Pretty boring, huh?

Still in Port Orchard! Was married the first time for ten years, lived
in Silverdale, and had two great kids, Rachel 29 and Rick 27. I am remarried now for twenty years and have
Chance who is 19. Rachel just returned to the area after five years living in
Boston. She works for Kitsap Humane
Society as event coordinator. Rick is a pilot for SkyWest now in his second
year & lives in Portland with his fiancée, Samantha, with their wedding
planned for this October! Chance is home with us after spending the winter
working at Silver Mt Ski Resort. He will be at Olympic College in the fall. So,
NO grandchildren!!!
I still work for Alaska Airlines and have been there 38 years, still flying the
friendly skies!! Husband Clint works for Kiewit Construction Company and is
based out of Vancouver BC now. With his job taking him all over, we have
traveled as a family for the past twenty years from Alaska to California to all
of his jobs.
Now, life is fairly calm and we spend our time in Port Orchard or
at our condo at Silver Mt. in Kellogg.

We have three children:
Janelle 33, Aaron 30 and Natalie 24. Janelle is currently engaged and will be
married Aug 24th. We have been happily worshiping and serving God all of our
married lives and have been attending Manchester Community Church for more than
40 years. I have been working in construction all my life in one form or
another. First I worked for contractors
to learn the trade, then on my own remodeling. When I was thirty I went to work
at the Shipyard as a Woodcrafter and after fifteen years at the woodshop I
became a planner and purchaser for the shop and then for the construction crew.
I am still performing that duty today. For the Shipyard I have traveled to work
in San Diego about fifteen times, to Corpus Christi five times, to Charleston,
S. C. three times, to Norfolk, VA twice, to Hawaii twice, and to Japan once.
The travel was in my first twelve years at PSNS. I plan to work about three and
half more years before I retire.
